Ramallah: Palestinian cameraman won Essam Rimawi third place award in the contest against violence against women, which took place in Iraq. The winning image Rimawi is a Palestinian woman attacked by Israeli soldiers. The competition was part of the first annual festival to support women, "as the first day of the Islamic month of Safar to combat violence against women," and under the slogan "The principle of compassion and the role of women in promoting the spirit of tolerance in the society.

The festival was sponsored by the provincial council in Najaf, Iraq and the Committee on Culture and endowments Iraq.
